Dolphin's nail art decal design!

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. Today's blog post is just a bit of a follow on from my Instagram post, with all the details of what I did for this nail design. I wanted to create a look using a new Barry M polish that I got recently and have a pretty nail art design that I came up with to show you all.

I had these dolphin nail art decals from www.charliesnailart.co.uk for a little while, and wasn't to sure what to do with them. But then last week after painting my nails in this new beautiful polish by Barry M that I got last week, it gave me an idea of what to create.

First of all, can we just talk about how pretty this colour is, after seeing it online I knew I had to get it and I definitely wasn't disappointed with it. As I was painting it on I just thought wow, I mean look how beautiful it is. The polish is Barry M's molten metal collection called 'Crystal Blue'. It's a chrome effect polish, with a mirror shine foil finish with glittery effects-this shade is like a bluey, green colour and I just love it.

As this shade just kind of reminded me of the sea a bit, I thought I would create a design like dolphins jumping out of the waves in the deep blue sea water. So, I thought I would create waves at the bottom of the nail and place the decals on the nails like they are jumping up from it. This was actually a very simple and easy nail design to create and just a fun way to use the dolphin nail art decals.

I just painted on the polish, waited for it to dry. Then one nail at a time, painted the top coat on and gently stuck the dolphin nail art decals on to the nails. I chose to do 3 at the base of the nail, placing them in different directions. Then once the top coat was dry I went on and did the waves. I decided to create the waves, using a nail stamp from my Moyoulondon Illusion nail stamping plate no.6, as one of them looked a bit like waves, so thought it would be perfect for this design. I did the waves in white and placed them at the tip of the nails under the dolphins.
