Sparkly snowmen stamp nails!

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I am back today with the first of the Christmas nails and Happy December lovelies. I cannot believe we are already in the last month of the year and only a couple of weeks till Christmas, crazy aye! Hehe! But it's exciting as it's time to start doing all the Christmas nails now, which is probably my favourite kind of nails to do.

First Christmas nails from last year 2017

To start of with, I thought I would do some simple, easy nail stamping and was in the mood to do some snowmen, with a stamp saying 'it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas', which I thought would be the perfect thing to start off the festivities. I used the Moyoulondon festive nail stamping plate no.45.

I decided to do the stamps over a dark blue polish by Ciate called 'Palm Springs', with a slight sparkle using a silver fine glitter by Ciate called 'Twinkle Toes'. I thought this would look perfect under the Snowmen, and then kept the middle finger just as the blue polish, so the writing from the stamp would show up more. I chose to do the snowmen in white and the writing in a gold metallic colour.

I also wanted to capture these nails by our Christmas tree, as we just recently put it up and thought it would all fit in well with the first of the Christmas nails. So, the photos might not be the greatest but I thought they looked so Christmassy. 🎄

If you have read some of my past blog posts, I have said before how once you get the hang of nail stamping, it is such a lovely, quick way to get a lovely nail design without having to try and do any nail art. These were so quick and simple to do, and I always love to show you all how you can all get some pretty, festive nails, in a simple easy way.

So, for this nail stamp design I just painted a base coat, 2 coats of the blue and sealed with a top coat. On each nail, after I painted the 2nd coat, I sprinkled a little bit of the glitter over the nail before the top coat. Waited for that to dry and then went on with the stamps. I did the writing stamp first on the middle finger and then went round and chose to do 2 different snowmen stamps on the rest of the nails. Then I waited a bit, and finished it all off with another coat of top coat to finish it all off.

I loved doing these nails and loved how they look. So, simple but effective and so Christmassy-yay! Let me know what you think of the first of the Christmas nails below in the comments?  And keep an eye out for lots more Christmas themed nails to come, exciting :). Hope you all are having a lovely December so far.

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web as usual, I appreciate you all. 💕.

  1. Lovely nails! I’ve never tried nail stamping, is it hard to get the hang of?
