Spring/Summer flower nail art wraps & pretty nails using nail art gems!
Hello everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend and have been enjoying the lovely sunshine. I wanted to do a blog post today with some Charlie nail art supplies I have been using to create some pretty Spring / Summer nail designs. The main thing is the pretty flower nail art wraps ( only £0.89p ) but I also wanted to include another set of nails I did as it was one of my favourite nail designs I have done.
First up is the pastel blue flower nail art wraps. If you follow me on Instagram and seen the posts where I have done the nail art wraps, you may know that I do struggle with them a bit as my nails are quite wide, so the wraps don't always fit my nails properly. Which is ashame as I have seen these wraps on other people and they always look so nice, but I thought I would give them ago again today, as the daisy flower ones are so pretty, and I thought these would be prefect for this lovely weather we have been having lately.
These daisy flower wraps actually came out ok on my nails today, and they managed to fit my nails well, love these and how they look. The wraps are super simple to do and the best part is they are dry straight away, so no more waiting around for the polish to dry. As with anything practice helps with these wraps, as I definitely found them easier to do today, compared to the first time I tried them out.
All I did for the wraps were:
* Cut the wraps into the shape I wanted them, I find cutting them with a curve fits the cuticle's best and removed the top layer of plastic film.
* Then doing 1 nail at a time, matching the best fit wrap to my nail, I held the wrap in a little pot of water for 20-30 seconds, removed from the water and slid it off the white backing paper and then placed onto the nail, smoothing down any rough bits.
* Soaked up any excess water with a tissue and then cut of the ends, so there wasn't to much excess wrap at the end of my nail. I would say be super careful when applying them, as they can tear quite easily due to them being wet.
* Once I had done all nails, I popped a top coat over the wraps and I find this is key to helping the edges of the wraps stick down and even the wraps out.
The second nail design I wanted to include today was one I did a little while back and put on my Instagram, but wanted to include it in this post, as I loved how this one turned out. I don't really have a name for this design, but it was using some Rhombus nail art decals from Charlie's nail art. When I see these on the website, I had a idea in mind what I wanted to create with them, as I thought they would look very pretty over the Barry M under the sea polishes that I had picked up recently and love how pretty they turned out.
For these nails, again very simple, I painted on the blue and pink colours from Barry M-doing 1 coat first. Then doing a couple of nails at a time, I painted on the 2nd coat-let it go a bit tacky and then using my fingers, picked up some of the nail decals and gently patted onto my nails, until I got the coverage I wanted. Then finished with a top coat. These honestly looked so pretty in real life and I just love how the nail decals look over the pretty colours.
