New Years nail inspiration nail design!

Hello everyone, Happy Saturday! Hope your all having a lovely day and enjoying the last few days of 2017, how crazy that there is only a few days left of this year. I wanted to do a few New years nail inspiration designs that are pretty simple to do and nice to wear. I did upload a red and gold glitter fade on my Instagram if you want to check it out as that is more of a simple look without any nail art but on my blog I wanted to upload a few nail art designs if you fancied going all out with the nails.

For my first nail design I just did a simple look where I just literally wrote on my nails with my nail art pens. I had in mind to do a easy design where I write Happy New Year down the nails across 3 of my nails with the exclamation mark on the little finger and then 2018 going down my thumb.

I chose to use a purple and silver polish as I wanted to use these colours for one of the New Year looks as I think they are perfect colours for New Years. The polishes used for this look are Ciate's purple polish called 'Chain Reaction' and the silver polish is Ciate's called 'Fit For A Queen'. I also used my gold, purple and blue nail art pens with the Nails inc Kensignton Caviar base coat and the Seche Vite top coat. Also used one of my new Moyoulondon nail stamping plates that I will show in a blog post soon, I used the stars from it to pop around the writing on the purple nails.

All I did for this nail look was paint the base coat on, then 2 coats of both the silver and purple polish and applied the top coat and waited for it to dry. I decided to to the silver polish on the thumb and little finger to have the 2018 on a different colour to the other writing and painted the purple polish on the three middle ones so the Happy New Year had the same colour background for it.

I started with the Happy New Year, just doing this by writing the words on each nail down each nail, doing it quite small so that the whole word would fit on the nail, I haven't got the best writing so I did write this all in capital letters as I just thought it looked better like this. I used my gold nail art pen to do this part. Then using the Moyou New Year stamping plate no.39 I used the silver polish and part of the star stamp and stamped it around the writing to create more of magical effect and so it wasn't so plain.

I then went on to doing the 2018 down the thumb using my purple nail art pen. This took a few attempts as my number 2 kept going wrong on me haha but I got there in the end. I then did the exclamation mark on the little finger using the same purple nail art pen. I wanted to add something extra around the 2018 and exclamation mark as I thought it looked a bit plain otherwise, so with my blue nail art pen I decided to draw little swirls and added some dots too, to add to the effect.

There we have it, my first New years nail design. I was pretty happy at how this turned out and it is very easy to do if you want to try doing something simple for New Years. Let me no what you think of this design and if you attempt to try it out in the comments 😊.
