Nails inc, Peace,Love, Kale gift set!
Hello everyone, happy Friday! Hope you all have had a lovely day and looking forward to the weekend! I thought I would show you a closer look of one of the gifts that featured in my recent blog post 'a few gifts I got for Christmas' and show you swatches off the nail polish colours included.
The gift set is called Peace. Love. Kale. and contains the nailkale superfood base coat, a nude polish called 'Peace In Primrose' and a pretty sparkly red glitter called 'Kensington Kiss'. Also comes with a cosmetic bag to house all the colours in which is handbag friendly too. This is such a lovely little set, I love that it comes with a base coat too which is always handy and the little cosmetic bag will come in handy too as I feel you always need them for something, haha! All the polishes are 5ml.
So, for the nail polish swatches I first did the nude and then the red glitter. I also first applied the kale base coat which Nails inc describe as being a miracle base coat- it is enriched with kale and a superfood complex, it is a powerful, strengthening nail treatment , as well as a smoothing base coat. There isn't really much to say about the base coat as it works like any other but it did apply nicely to the nails and the colour went on nicely over it, and if it has kale in it to help the nails then I am all up for using it to keep my nails protected and strong.
For the nude colour, I did actually have to put on 3 coats of this colour as it is one of those nudes that go on pretty patchy and leave like a dark patchy shadow, if you get what I mean. The 1st coat was very streaky, then the 2nd coat made it a little bit more even but I went for a 3rd and it definitely looked better with as it went a lot more even and smooth. I'm not always into nude colours on my nails as I do generally prefer more colour, but I thought this one looked very pretty on the nails and is perfect if you want something on the nails but not anything too out there or bright.
I then decided to paint the red, sparkly glitter polish over the nude just so it has a base colour underneath. The red glitter polish went on nicely and I decided to pop on 2 coats off it, I think this red looks very pretty and just adds a something little extra to the nude colour. You could probably wear this on it's on too but would probably need 3 coats of is as it's quite sparse. This red glitter reminds me of Christmas time and would be perfect for Christmas and New Year season.
What do you think of the gift set, which one is your favourite colour? Let me know in the comments below and a big thank you to my lovely friend who got me this gift set, she definitely knows me and picked very well , I love it 😘💜. I will be posting up more blogs of the other gift sets I received for Christmas soon.
Hope you enjoyed today's post and seeing swatches of the colours. I will be back Sunday with a nail stamping look or two featuring the new Moyoulodon nail stamps I picked up recently.
