Nails inc wishes & kisses gift set!
Hello everyone, I am back today with swatches of the nail polishes that were in the Nails inc wishes & kisses gift set that I received for Christmas, as like I said in my 'A few nail gifts I got for Christmas blog post', I would swatch them for you all, so you can all see what they look like on the nails.
I may have already tried two of the colours and posted them on my Instagram already, as I just couldn't wait to pop them on my nails, oopsie hehe! This set comes with 4 different colours and as I mentioned in my other blog post, the main reason why I loved this set was for the pretty gold in it but actually to be honest after trying them all out I love all the colours included and would wear them all. Let's get into the colours and swatches:
First up is this dark port wine red colour called 'Status Ready'. How nice is this red though, I don't normally go for reds but lately I have noticed that I am liking reds, especially dark reds a lot more as I think a dark red like this can look quite sophisticated and is perfect for autumn/winter. Nails inc polishes are always very good quality, hence why I love this brand and this colour does not disappoint, it went on so lovely with just 2 coats and looks so lovely on the nails. If you love your reds then I would highly recommend this one.
Next up is the pretty sparkly gold glitter called 'Belsize Road'. I popped the gold glitter over the dark red and as this was one look I created for New Years I decided to do 2 nails with the full on gold glitter and the other 3 as a bit of a glitter gradient. This gold glitter is so lovely and I found kind of dabbing it on best. 3 coats would probably be needed if you was to wear it on it's own but if wearing it over another colour, depending on how much coverage you want, 1 coat would be perfect. I always love a bit of glitter on my nails especially for Christmas and New years. This was perfect for it.
Now this next colour from the set is a bit different and not like any other colour I have really seen before. I would describe this colour as a dusky, mauve pink, well that is how I kind of see it anyways, haha! The colour is called 'Life Hack'. I wasn't too sure of this colour at first but I do actually think it looks lovely on. The only thing I would say about this colour is that it may need 3 coats depending on how it goes on, as I found that on a couple of my nails it looked a bit patchy but not on all of them. It did seem a little thick as it went on, so try and do thin coats if you use it.
The last polish from the gift set is this pretty, purple metallic colour called 'Glow on & Get it'. Probably along with the gold, one of my favourite colours from the set. It looks a bit like foil on my nails if that makes sense, and went on very well. I would even say that you would only maybe need 1 coat of this colour as it went on quite thick and covered the nail full coverage with just the 1st coat, but I did do 2 coats just making sure the 2nd coat was fairly thin. I really just love how this looks on the nails, it's so shiny and that is without a top coat too. I always love colors like this as they give such a nice effect to the nails.
This is such a lovely little set and i'm so happy to have got it for Christmas. A lovely selection of colours to choose from and I do love Nails inc, as the quality of their polishes are on point. I have noticed that the gift set is still on Nails inc website if you did want to still purchase it, and even better it is now only £14.50 which is a bargain as I am pretty sure at Christmas it was around the £20 price mark and normally one polish is around £12-£14!
