Valentine inspired nail stamp design!

Hello everyone, Happy Sunday! Hope you all have had a lovely weekend and looking forward to the new week, who else is excited for Pancake day this week, I no I am, hehe!
I thought I would do a nail stamp nail look for today, as it feels like a while since I have done one. As it is Valentines day this week coming, even though I am not fussed about it, I thought I would do a valentines day inspired nail stamp design, as I had a idea in mind, as there were some stamps I wanted to use that inspired me.

Products used:
I decided I wanted to go with a pink polish with white and black nail stamps, so I used two pinks from Ciate. I used a glittery pink on the ring finger and a dark pink called 'Cupcake Queen' on the rest of the nails. Also used were, Moyoulondon Princess nail stamping plate no.17, Seche Vite top coat, black stamping polish 'black Knight' & white stamping polish 'white knight' by Moyoulondon.

I wanted to keep this look quite simple, so I chose to just do the ring finger a different colour and with a different stamp. From the Princess Moyou stamping plate, I really liked the look of the 3d stamp with hearts & stars and how it looks like it is kind of scribbled on, if that makes sense, haha! I thought it would go perfectly with the love stamp as they had the same kind of effect. I decided on doing the hearts & stars stamp in white and the Love stamp in black.

I really love how this turned out as I love the effect of the white stamp on dark pink and how it sits nicely with the black love stamp over the glitter polish. For once as well, the stamps pick up really easy and went on really nicely on top of the polish. It is a very quick and simple but effective nail design.Hopefully this design has inspired you all to jazz up your nails, even if it's not for Valentines as I think this can be worn at anytime to show some love.

How I did it:

  • Started off by applying a base coat-today I used Nails inc kale base coat.
  • Applied 3 coats of both Ciate colours, mentioned at the beginning of the post.
  • Always apply a top coat before stamping, makes the polish dry faster and less chance of knocking/ smudging the colour from the stamper.
  • Waited around 10 minutes and then stamped on the chosen stamps. Did all the white stamps first, cleaned the nail stamp plate and then applied the black stamp.
  • Normally finish off with a top coat to help prevent the stamp rubbing off, didn't today though.
  • Also tidied up round the cuticles, where any mess was made with the stamps. I do this by using a orange stick with some cotton wool on the end of it, dipped in nail polish remover.
  • Viola all done and now have pretty nails, hehe 😄
