My current favourite cuticle oils!

Hello everyone, happy 1st of February! January is finally over ( hope it wasn't to bad for everyone ). Sorry that my blog post schedule is all a bit over the place this week, as I am going away for the weekend this week, I won't have one up on Sunday as normal this week but will be back next week on the Wednesday. I am going to take a few days off, to really enjoy my time away and make the most of it, as I think now and again it's very important to take a bit of time out, away from it all, to focus on the now and what is important, and to feel inspired again.

Anyways, before I waffle on let's get on to today's post. I wanted to talk about my current favourite cuticle oils/ cream that I love to use, to help keep my cuticles moisturised and nails healthy. As a beauty therapist/ nail technician, it has always been drummed into me that we should always be recommending cuticle oil to our clients when having their nails done, to use at home as after care-no not for sales but because it really does have many benefits to using it daily, especially if someone's nails are very weak/brittle. This is because apart from helping to keep the cuticle's moisturised it actually helps to keep the nails strong and keep them healthy too. This is down to the fact that the cuticle's are there to protect your nail bed, so if they are healthy then the rest of the nail will be too.

The first product I have is fairly new to me, it's the Burt's bees lemon butter cuticle cream. I have always seen this around and saw people talking about it but never got round to picking it up but received this at Christmas and was very excited to try it out. This is a very lovely product and smells so divine. It is perfect if your not a fan of cuticle oils as I know they can be a bit greasy at times but as this is more a butter cream, it sinks in lovely and doesn't feel too greasy. If you suffer with really dry cuticles, I highly recommend you try this out as it is very moisturising and softens the cuticles. It contains sweet almond oil, cocoa seed butter, Vitamin E, sunflower oil and is infused with a lemon scent which makes it smell so lovely.

Next up, is the Jessica Phenomen oil which I have been using for quite a while. This is quite a oily/ greasy cuticle oil which does take a little while to rub in, so I would suggest not using too much. It has a little dropper on it, so I usually only squeeze it onto 2-3 nails and then just rub the leftover onto the other nails, so that there isn't to much oil. The only good thing about that, is that you only need a tiny bit at a time, so it will last quite awhile. I do really love this oil, as like it says on the bottle it is pretty intensive at moisturising the cuticles and re-hydrates them. You can also use this oil on other parts of the body too that are dry, like elbows and knees etc. The main ingredients in the oil are- Vitamin E, jojoba, rice and sweet almond oil.

I did also want to mention the Nails inc vitamin E cuticle oil pen, as this is probably my all time favourite cuticle oil that I love but don't currently have to hand. I think this cuticle pen is so good to have, especially if you find it hard  to remember to apply oil as you literally just swipe this on, rub it in a little bit and your good to go. When I used this cuticle oil, my cuticles were very healthy and hydrated and helped to prevent any hang nails. I really do need to get this for myself again as it was so handy to have. Even though this is a oil, it's not greasy at all and sinks in beautifully. Highly recommend this one too as it is so easy with the brush on it.

You can get the products here:

I would highly recommend using a cuticle oil/ cream if you can at least every night to help keep your nails and cuticles healthy and strong, although I am recommending this I will say that I know it is hard to remember to apply it all the time, as I can be quite bad at forgetting myself too, haha! A little tip, just keep it by your bed, so at night you can quickly apply it before going to sleep.

Do you use cuticle oil/ cream yourself? If so have you tried any of the above or which ones do you love yourself? Let me know in the comments, love new recommendations 😊.

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web. 😊💜
