Ciate's Liquid Velvet Gloss Snow globe review!

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Sorry I never got this up yesterday, but had a busy day and had plans in the evening, so didn't get round to it but that's life aye! I had a very lovely day and evening though hehe!

I wanted to do something a bit different today and do my first beauty review, I know my blog is mainly nail focus at the moment but as I do love makeup / skincare too, now and again I want to do something different, and do some beauty and skincare related blog posts as well. After all I named my blog Chansbeautycorner as I want it to do a mixture of all beauty related stuff, haha!

I have been wanting to do a little review of the Ciate's liquid velvet gloss ever since I ordered the snow globe in the sales, but just haven't got round to it, so thought I would finally do it today, to let you all know my thoughts on the product and why I am loving them so much. I know the snow globe is from Christmas, and so may be a little bit late to talk about it, but the liquid velvet glosses are still out now, so thought it was still worth doing. These may be quite a long one as I have swatches of each of the colours too, so make sure you keep on scrolling to see what the colours look like. Bare with me as this is my first beauty product review, so might not be the greatest, haha!

I wanted to do this review mainly because I think I have found my new favourite lip products and I am going to tell why. First of all can we just talk about the cute, pretty snow globe packaging that it comes in and the fact that you get 5 mini glosses in this set, and as I got this in the sales, I only ended up paying £18.50 for this, it looks like they do still have the set on sale currently on Asos. I also love the fact that they are mini, as this is a really good way to try out the colours and see which ones you love the most, so that if you want to get the full size, you already know that you love it, win win aye! The full size version of these are £17.00 by the looks of it, so the set was a bargain at the sale price.

What Ciate say about them? Selection of the five best-selling mini liquid velvets, formulated with lip-conditioning hyaluronic acid, these long-wearing matte liquid lipsticks are packed full of high-performance pigments that glide onto the lips for bold, kissable all-day colour.

What I think about them and why I love them?  The main reason I love these are the fact that I suffer with dry lips, so normally stay away from matte lip products as they dry them out more and I am not a massive fan but as these are so velevety, these honestly glide on so smoothly to the lips and hallelujah, do not cling to dry patches on my lips or make my lips look or feel dry. I have never really liked the feeling of matte lip products and if you are the same then you will love the feel of these, they are so silky smooth and they do dry down a bit but still velvety, not completely matte. I also love this selection of nude lip colours as I don't normally wear bright colours.

These honestly apply to the lips like a dream, so soft and creamy when applying. I think the hyaluronic acid definitely helps in these lip products and probably a big reason why they aren't drying at all. The pigmentation of these liquid velvets are really good as well. The only slightly bad thing I have to say about these, are the fact that I wouldn't really say they last that long on the lips sadly. I haven't really worn them in the day yet, so they may last all day if not having drinks / eating etc but as I have worn them in the evening for drinks etc, they do come off a bit and not that long lasting, which may be due to the fact that they are velvet more than matte but there is still usually a bit of colour left for a while, usually the excess comes off. But none the less I still love them.

Left to right: Bittersweet, Gossip, Pin up, Swoon, Wonderland.
As mentioned above, there are 5 lovely colours included in this kit, more on the nude side-ranging from more pinky nudes to brwony nudes, with one more darker redder nude. These are my kind of colours and so wearable. Let's get to the swatches of the colours:

SWATCH OF SWOON!

SWATCH OF GOSSIP!
SWATCH OF PIN UP!

SWATCH OF WONDERLAND!

SWATCH OF BITTERSWEET!

Hope you all enjoyed my first beauty products review, let me no in the comments if you have tried these yet and what you thought? Also which is your favourtite colour? My favourite colours at the moment, which I have been using have to be the more pinky nudes-Gossip & Wonderland.

I will be back tomorrow with a nail related blog post!
