3 simple Easter nail art designs!-Bunnies & Easter Eggs!

Hello everyone, I did want to get this post up yesterday, but as I had what I think was sleep paralysis on the Saturday night and my anxiety was pretty bad, I decided to leave it yesterday and post up today instead, but happy Easter and happy April! Hope you all have been enjoying the long weekend and eating plenty of Easter chocolate. What is it about Chocolate Easter eggs, that just make them taste so good aye? They are my favourite kind of chocolate and I love mini eggs. But anyways, can you believe it is the start of April already, hope you all have a lovely month.

I wanted to do a Easter inspired post, and thought I would show you a few Easter nails I have done over the past couple of days, which have been on my social media, with all details about what I used.
I have 3 nail designs to show you, 2 are created using some Easter nail art stickers and water decals from charlie's nail art, and the other one is done freehand. I wanted to mix it up a bit and show how easy you can get a Easter inspired design with just using some stickers or water decals, and if you prefer doing freehand nail art, then I thought it would be nice to include one of them too.

The first Easter nails that I did, were with the Easter themed nail art stickers. I decided to use a lilac polish from Ciate called 'Ibiza Blues' and chose to use different bunnies & Easter eggs.

These were pretty simple to do, as you just paint on the 1st coat of the colour, then doing a couple of nails at a time, paint the 2nd coat, wait for them to go a bit tacky and then apply the chosen sticker to where you want it and rubbing it gently down to smooth. Then repeat on all other nails and seal with a topcoat.

Next up, I had some Easter water decals that I wanted to try out. I love water decals, as sometimes nail stickers are a bit thicker, so come away from the corners quite often leading to them getting caught, and pulled off. But with water decals as they are thinner and dipped in water before applying, they just seem to stick to the nail easier. These ones are more colourful bunnies & eggs over Ciate's very light pink polish called 'Dolls House'.

The water decals can be a bit more fiddly to do, and I would recommend that you cut out your chosen designs before painting your nails. Apply polish as normal but only doing one coat, then 1 nail at a time paint the 2nd coat on and allow the polish to be tacky but not to wet. Get your chosen design, remove the clear plastic bit from the top of the nail, and dip it in a pot of water for 10-15 seconds. Then the decal should easily slide of the back bit of cardboard, then carefully apply to the nail, smooth down and dab with tissue to soak up any extra water. Apply a topcoat to secure.

The last nail art design I did, was my attempt at doing Easter bunnies freehand. I also included some 3d eggs to 2 of the fingers as well, just to tie the whole look in together. This was my first time doing the bunnies & they went o'k, I think, hehe! I used 2 different polishes for the base for this-used Opi blue polish for under the bunnies called 'I believe in manicures' & on the other 2 nails for the eggs, I used Nails inc cotton candy polish called 'Harrington Street', as I thought it kind of looked like a mini egg as bit as it has little speckles in it.

First I painted all nails with the chosen colours, doing 2 coats. Then with the ones with the eggs, I painted on a topcoat & stuck the eggs on. For the bunnies, I just painted on the face bit with the brush from the white polish I was using, doing 2 coats of this. Then drew on the ears with a nail art brush, and filled in the ears for the pink bit with a pink nail art pen-using the same pink nail art pen to draw on the nose too. Placed 2 black dots using my dotting tool for the eyes to finish the bunny off. I also decided to do some yellow polka dots round the bunny to finish the look off.

As you can tell, they are all pretty simple nail designs and kind of didn't realise that I had done all bunnies & Easter eggs, haha! But aye never mind, at least you can see lots of different ways to do them and I kind of guess 2 of the main things of Easter are eggs & bunnies, hehe! Hope you loved them all anyways.
