Illusion & henna nail stamping designs!

Hello everyone, Happy Monday and hope you all have a lovely week. I will be getting back to posting on my regularly day on Sunday, just at the moment it hasn't been working out and being ill hasn't helped either. But anyways, hopefully it will be back to normal this week and just means you get 3 blog posts this week instead, hehe! I am trying to stick to Wednesdays & Sundays at the moment but make sure you are following me over on Bloglovin to stay up to date!

But let's get onto today's post which is 2 nail stamping designs over the new Barry M under the sea polishes that I picked up recently. If you're following me on my Instagram you would of seen that I posted up a couple of pictures of both these pretty colours and I love them. So, thought as I haven't done any nail stamping in little while, I would do 2 different stamping designs over these pretty colours, as I thought with them being iridescent colours they would like so lovely under nail stamps.

Barry M under the sea 'Butterflyfish'! Used below under the illusion stamp.

First up I really wanted to do a stamp from the Moyoulondon illusion palette over the bluey, pinky iridescent colour 'Butterflyfish'. I thought this color would look so cool with a illusion stamp over it, and I chose the wavy illusion, as I just thought it kind of fitted in with the colour and making it look mystical and under the sea vibe, if that makes any sense, haha! I chose to do the stamp in white to contrast with the baby blue and really love how this looks.

Now this didn't go quite to plan & didn't come out completely how I would of hoped, as I always have the struggle with stamps that they don't quite fit over the whole of my nail as my nails are very wide, haha! So, I did have to attempt to double stamp to try and make it work, but that's o'k as it's all a learning curve & the fun of it all :).

Barry M 'Pinktail', used below with the henna stamps

Next up I decided to choose 2 stamps from the Moyoulondon henna plate and popped this over the other new Barry M under the sea colour I picked up 'Pinktail'. This is a pretty iridescent coral, pinky colour with a slight green sheen running through it. I thought a couple of pretty henna flower stamps would look so lovely over this pretty coral colour.

I decided to do this stamp in white too, and chose 2 pretty flower henna stamps to match the spring/summery vibes this colour gives.I did a bit of a mixture of the flower henna's just to trail and see what they would look like together. I prefer these kind of stamps as they are a little bit smaller, so better for my nails as you can just place the stamp where ever you would like too. And these ones are much easier to do if your new to stamping. I really love the look of the flowers with the colour.

Hope you all enjoyed the 2 designs. Let me know in the comments which was your favourite one?

  1. Two lovely nail art designs. I love the colour's and the stamp patterns that you chose, I suck at nail art and I think using a stamp would definitely work so much better for me. I'll definitely be checking these out.

    1. Ah thank you so much lovely, glad you like them too :) yea nail art can be hard but I definitely recommend trying out nail stamping, as sometimes nail stamping can be a little hard too at first but once you get the hang of it, it's such a good thing to do when you just want to add a little something else to the nails, let me know if you do try it out :) have a lovely weekend, Chantelle x
