Haul of a few beauty/skincare items I have picked up recently!
Hello everyone, hope you all are well and having a lovely week so far. This month is flying by, feels like it is going by so quickly. But looks like Spring might finally be here, as it is so lovely out there today. I have been a little quieter on social media the past week and not really put a blog post up since last week, as I haven't really been feeling very well and my anxiety has been pretty bad the last week. Sometimes it's just nice to take a little break from it all, especially when your lacking motivation. But I am trying to push through it, and keep going so wanted to get a blog post up today, which is quite an exciting one.
I have brought a few new bits over the last few weeks and so thought I would do a post showing you all the new beauty & skincare bits and pieces that I have found. There is a mixture of different things, so let's get straight to it:
The first few things are some new polishes that I picked up a few weeks back. If you follow me on Instagram or read my last nail post, then you would of already seen these on my nails, but I still wanted to include them in this post too. The polishes I am talking about are the new Barry M under the sea nail polish, I picked these up in 2 colours, but there are four to choose from- I picked up the bluey, purple iridescent one called 'Butterflyfish' and the pinkey, coral colour called 'Pinktail'. I love both these polishes, perfect for Spring/Summer time and look so lovely on.
I also have 2 polishes from New look. The dark pink one I didn't actually buy as they were giving a free gift out when you spend a certain amount in our store, my sister was buying some things and we decided to pick this polish up to try out, which I am still yet to try. It's a lovely dark pink polish called 'Berry'. I also saw the blue, Holographic polish online when I did a recent order and thought I would try it out, as it looked so pretty.Sadly I wasn't that impressed when I used it, as it didn't really come out that well and was a bit tacky, but I am going to give it another try soon to see.
I have seen and heard about the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer quite a lot and so thought I would pick it up to try it out. I find it quite hard to find a decent drugstore concealer, as I never really find that they last that well or give much coverage. I also get dry skin under my eyes and haven't really found a good drugstore one that is that great for dry skin. I have been using this one quite a bit recently and have found it to have good coverage, it's not too drying under the eyes and light enough too. I picked it up in shade 01 Ivory and costs £8.00 here
I kept seeing this little Maybelline eye palette by Gigi Hadid on some websites and as I love neutral palettes I thought I would get it. I have to say when I received it and opened it up, I was a little shocked at how small the eyeshadows were, haha! But I still think it is a really nice palette, and even though in the picture they don't look it, the eyeshadows all have a slight shimmer to them. I haven't actually tried this out yet, so if I like it there might be a review coming soon, but you get a white base colour along with 4 pretty eyeshadow colours. I got mine from Asos and is only £9.50 at the moment.
Yes I got on the hype of the new Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara, it had to be done, But I did actually decide to go for the mini version for now, just so I could try it out and see what I think. I kept seeing this everywhere recently and seeing everyone's amazing results with it, so had to get it and try it out for myself. I've only tried it once so far, so can't comment to much. But one thing for sure is that it does lengthen the lashes. The normal sized version is £21.50 & the mini is &10.50.
Two other things I picked up recently from Asos, were the Pixi Rose Tonic & the Spectrum fan brush. I have been wanting to try out the Pixi rose tonic for a little while now, as I needed a new toner and heard that this was great for dry/sensitive skin, so thought I would give it a try. It is currently out of stock on Asos but you can also get it here for £10.00. And how pretty is the Spectrum brush, I needed a fan brush, saw this one on Asos a few times and so decided to get it. It's only £4.99 on Asos.
The last thing I got recently from a different Asos order was this cute Mad Beauty, panda sheet mask. I always see these on Asos and just thought I would pick it up, to try out. This has Rose water in it, so is meant to be calming on the face for healthy glowing skin, we will see aye. I love sheet masks and can't wait to try this out. Best bit is that it is only £2.99.
Hope you enjoyed this little mini haul. I am thinking of doing some reviews on some future blog posts, of some of these items I picked up, so keep a eye out for those in the next coming weeks. Have you tried any of the items I mentioned today, let me know if you have and what you think of them in the comments?

I absolutely adore Spectrum brushes I've purchased some more myself recently! I'd love to hear your thoughts on that Pixi toner as I'm always looking for more good quality, affordable skincare products! I got Bad Gal Bang and tried it once but it was so wet it didn't apply well at all so I'm waiting to see if it dries out a bit first before I give it another go, I hope you love it though!! Great post lovely!

Thank you so much lovely for your comment. The spectrum fan brush is so lovely and soft, i love it. I am thinking of doing a mini review on the pixi toner shortly, just testing it at the moment to gather my thoughts but keep a eye out for it :) I get what you mean with mascaras as they can are sometimes a bit wet when first used, I have used it a few times and have mixed views about it right now, haha but were see. Thank you lovely! Have a great weekend, Chantelle xx
